Jurisdiction over an enforcement action based on an arbitration award is not automatically that of the forum where the arbitration proceedings took place. If the parties have only entered into an agreement to arbitrate, without selecting the forum for enforcement, jurisdiction shall lie with the court of the defendant's domicile or the place of performance of the obligation, depending on the subject matter at issue. In the case of enforcement of a monetary award, jurisdiction shall lie with the forum of the place where the obligation was or should have been performed (Article 100, item IV, paragraph d, CPC/73):
